CC is not a poor source of information. you will run into obnoxious people and nice people everywhere. it seems as though you have run into the parents who have too much time on their hands and who like to gloat about their children's achievements. that's all it is; annoying parents. again, you will find all types of people everywhere. don't be discouraged by an unrepresentative sample. visit schools and talk to students. i ended up at an ivy and one of the reasons was because i truly think everyone there is kind and always willing to help out. most of the time when i looked lost, i didn't even have to ask for help, i was just offered it.

I decided to join the Ymca to relieve my stress and get distracted I go to the gym about 3-4times a week and besides getting on the treadmill I also do the Zumba(Dance cl-Salsa, merengue, samba, hip-hop etc...) I learned to take myself out of the picture and stop playing the blame game and stop taking pain and anger and shame that wasn't mine. They can't change, they can't say "I am sorry" you can't fix them, you can only fix yourself. If she was narcissistic, you really shouldn't have a hard time finding someone better than her. Narcissistic personality disorder is 85% alcoholics and/or drug addicts, 15% they believe are children who were raised by alcoholics or drug addicts, or just simply put down by someone when they were small children. Someone hurt them when they were little and made them feel small, and that is why they do it to other people. They have to put others down in order to make themselves feel bigger. (Not that that is an excuse.) They think they are God like, Saints, with grand egos, I call them destroyers, they just destroy people. In their mind they are right and the world is all wrong, they don't have a problem, you do. They put others down because they are bullies, and cowards. They put others down because they have no self esteem. If they are putting you down, and pointing out your flaws, no one is noticing their flaws. In their mind they think it is their job to put others down, it is their duty. They are social, and the rest of the world is anti social, they are perfect and you are the one who is flawed. They cannot and do not take responsibility for their actions and behaviors, so they will never say they are sorry, because in their mind they have done no wrong, they have done nothing to be sorry for. They can go to therapy for years and have no change in their behavior or actions, because in their mind they are saints, and perfect, so they have nothing to change about themselves. I am not really sure if they even comprehend how they hurt other people. The best thing to do is to stay away from these people if possible. They cannot change and they will just bring you down. My in laws are this way, so I know how you feel. After 20 years of abuse they are now banned from my house. While they had the benefit of putting us down and hurting our feelings, they did pay a price. They are now retired and none of their children, their spouses, even their grand children, none of us want to be around them. They enjoyed abusing us all those years, and now they spend their holidays alone. They do pay a price. Hurting people, hurt people. One thing that I have learned to do is to stop playing the blame game. If my husband goes berserk on me, instead of saying "What did I just say? What did I just do to cause that?" I stop and take myself out of the situation. I realize that his outburst was not about me, but he had talked to his father that day, or his brother pooped on him and he is taking it out on me. So I stopped taking the blame and shame and guilt for his behavior. If I did something wrong, then fine it is my bust, but if it isn't about me, I stop taking on the poop that goes with the situation. You have to realize that when people are hurting, the "issue" is not the "real issue" You have to take yourself out of the picture and think "what is hurting this person today?" You learn this when you deal with customers, but it works in real life too. A customer can have a problem long before you meet them, and the slightest thing you say or do, causes an explosion. It isn't about eggs, it is about a man who's wife just died. It isn't about a parkin, it is about a woman who's 4-year-old got killed by a drunk driver. It isn't about your boyfriend, your mothers dog just died. Hurting people, hurt people. So maybe a person staying at a hotel complains about the noise in the room, but maybe the real problem is that they got a speeding ticket, someone cut them off on the highway, or maybe they are not staying in the hotel for recreation, maybe they came in for a funeral and they are stressed about that. So the 'issue" of the noisy room, is not about a noisy room, but about the stress of a funeral. You have to stop and take yourself out of the situation, and stop playing the blame game, and stop taking on the hurt and pain and anger and guilt of others, it isn't fair to you.

I was confused at first since I didn't recognize the person in the video. But at second look, I realized it was the son and not the founder. All I can say is, I'm impressed, he definitely does his father proud. As for the techniques being effective, that as always depends on the way you train. Obviously in this demo, he went for a lot of flash, since that's what demos are basically for, to impress the audience enough to make them want to enroll. Seizures! help! scared!?

I know this is a scary situation. My friend and I both have epilepsy so I've been though this and you're not alone. First, I think it's important to know what to do in case she does have another seizure. Move any objects out of her way, turn her on her side to help her breathe, don't try to restrain her, and DON'T put anything in her mouth. Just knowing what to do so that you're prepared should help some. The medicine that she's on should prevent another seizure, but if it doesn't the doctors will keep trying until they find the right combination. It would be good to talk to your dad about how you're feeling. If you can't talk to him, is there a sibling or aunt available? And of course when you're mom's feeling up to it, discuss what happened. She must be feeling scared too! Try to be brave for her. If you're having trouble relaxing, I find a nice warm cup of tea can be good :)

I would suspect postpartum depression, it could also be exacerbated by your thyroid problems. I did not experience post-partum depression until about two months after my baby was born and at that point I started having many of the same symptoms that you are with major anxiety. I also was on thyroid medication years before and thought it was that, but my thyroid tested pretty normal and was refused medication. I was sent to a psychologist and put on an antidepressant and anti-anxiety medication which seemed to help a bit but I was still lethargic. I think you should tell your doctor you think you have severe post-partum depression and she will run every test in the book and try to treat you as best as she can. Doctors seem to be treating PPD much more vigorously these days because it is a liability and a reality. Good luck!

I'm dating a guy who I like a lot but he may be moving away. He has invited me to move with him, and help run a resort his family is building there but here's the deal...I have two boys and I would be uprooting them from suburbia life in the U.S. to a beautiful tropical country (i.e. Fiji) which may not have the education level they may need. Granted...they could go through school there and move to Australia or New Zealand to complete their higher education...but what's the right thing to do? We searched her bed to see if we could find any fleas or anything and we did catch a flea, but I doubt it could have bitten her 22 times! My fiance's mother can be a very nice person! But i can't help but think that it was all a show and that she was just trying to get close to me so she could find out some dirt to hold against me later! she started vomiting around 7pm. it was just her kibble and some water (the same food i've fed her for a long time, and normal regular water) i thought maybe she ate too quickly trying to beat her companion to the food. about an hour later she vomited again, same thing just little remnants of kibble. i tried to call a vet but there's none open! i'm really scared, she's acting her usual chipper self, her nose is moist and cold (or normal) and she's doing what she always does (playing and being crazy) she just keeps heaving periodically...i've investigated around the house and found a few pieces of plat soil at the base of a plant stand and think that might be the culprit, but it's not in her vomit when i clean it up! i've taken away the food for now and set out some fresh water...someone just give me some piece of mind!

2 months ago i started at a new school in the middle of the year. I met a kid, lets call him C who goes to my swim place. About a mont ago C started acting like he likes me 75% of the time. I am 26 years old and have constantly had a problem with being cold, particularly in my extremities. I am also tired all the time, no matter how much sleep I get. I like a guy in the summer program I volunteer at, but he's a year and a grade older which makes me think he might see me as a kid. My friend said he made fun of me for being a creeper, but then devoted two shots to me, which was more than what he devoted to anyone else. But since two weeks ago, he's been more and more cold towards me. Nothing about me has changed except for a hair cut, but he acts annoyed whenever he's around me.
