Is he being sincere and genuine or is he playing me?

I've been talking to this guy, and in one way he seems really into me, but on the other hand, hes a charmer, and a self proclaimed heart breaker. We've been sleeping together, and I'll stay the night at his house, but sometimes he'll text me and say stuff like, "I'm really tired from work today, so I'm probably just going to go home and crash, but I still want you to come stay the night, cause I like waking up next to you" and ill go over there and we actually will just sleep. He usually doesn't get off work until late, so I usually don't go over there until pretty late, but he texts me all the time through out the day. He told me that he liked me for more than just , he talks about asking me out on a date but when the perfect time comes for us to go to dinner or something, he never asks, and i don't want to be the one to ask him out on a date.... I need to know if I'm a call. It's ok with me if i am, I'd rather be a call than not have any type of relationship with him at all. I really like him. I just need to know if hes being genuine, before i really start liking him, I've been burned my sweet talkers like that before.
