Judaism - Is Jesus in the Talmud?
There are Talmudic references to one or more men who might (or might not) be Jesus. There is no mention of him by any name. As these references were not complimentary, the Christian rulers issued laws that required us to remove many of them from the Talmud. While they were removed from some editions, there is a book (not available in any language other than the original mix of Hebrew and Aramaic) that lists all the omissions which was printed at the Russian Czar's request so that his censors could verify that all these were omitted. While he thought that it was a good idea, it serves us well so that we know what was censored. As these pages are merely side points (the Talmud contains many stories that appear to be tangental), no one is overly concerned by their absence from the published editions and can use the book to fill-in the details if one wanted to read them.
