Are the students at the top colleges really as bad as the people on college confidential?

CC is not a poor source of information. you will run into obnoxious people and nice people everywhere. it seems as though you have run into the parents who have too much time on their hands and who like to gloat about their children's achievements. that's all it is; annoying parents. again, you will find all types of people everywhere. don't be discouraged by an unrepresentative sample. visit schools and talk to students. i ended up at an ivy and one of the reasons was because i truly think everyone there is kind and always willing to help out. most of the time when i looked lost, i didn't even have to ask for help, i was just offered it.
