Will today's styles die out?

I'm kind of worried the things we have in this decade will die out by the time of our children. In the70's or 80's I think where they use to use the word "Groovy" and wear those small gles on the tip of your nose. That style is over and some kids now days even think that's gross. I'm worried that by the time goes by everything that we use today such as lip piercings, rap music, rock music,iPods or even the word "Cool" will soon become stuff of old people? Is there a chance that will happen?
