How do i get grease off my Dr. Marten Shoes?

I was at work and i spilled hot bacon grease on one of my shoes. Now i have a dark spot (that is huge haha) on one of my shoes and i tried scrapping the shoe and then applying this stuff they give you to put on them that hides all the scratches. Didn't work ahh!!!!
