You shouldn't lump in all public sector workers with the imported new labour voting base. Many public sector workers are actually the famous 'hard working families' who pay their own way, unlike the millions of part time workers or non-workers who rely on tax credits to pay their sky subscription. I'm not sure which is the bigger danger - a hung parliament, with the BNP or Esther Rantzen holding the balance of power; or a country divided, with most areas voting conservative but Scotland and the inner cities voting labour.
